Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen will be left sweating over his future until the middle of June as he waits to find out whether he will be moving to Fenerbahce after his loan deal expires, according to a report.

The Express claim on their website that the powerhouse forward, who joined the Turkish side on a season long loan deal last summer, is the centre of a disagreement between top figures Aziz Yildirim, the current president of the club, and businessman Ali Koc, with the former wanting to keep him and the latter, who is looking to take control of Fenerbahce, wanting him to leave.

It is said that Janssen, 23, will discover his fate in early June, having managed to make just 18 appearances and score five goals during his loan spell as a result of injury.

Good move for Tottenham?

Janssen was the man meant to provide backup to Harry Kane when he was brought in from AZ Alkmaar, but he was a royal flop with just six goals in 39 appearances.

Shipped out a year ago, he has hardly set Turkey alight with his performances, and getting rid of him seems almost inevitable for Spurs.

With Fernando Llorente having followed in Janssen’s footsteps and failing to be the quality backup for Harry Kane that the north London club are seeking, both seem likely to exit, and that should provide some important funds for Pochettino to spend over the summer.

Likely to happen?

This is where it gets difficult, for it seems as though Janssen’s future hangs on a knife edge right now.

The two key figures at Fenerbahce are butting heads and until a decision can be made over who makes the decisions at the Turkish club, the striker is set to be in limbo.

Whether the 23-year-old himself wants to stay in Turkey is another matter entirely, and while this move seems to be hanging in the balance, his permanent, or even potentially another loan, exit seems a near-certainty.
