David Prutton has been blown away by the quality of Aston Villa ace Albert Adomah this season and included him in his own version of the Team of the Season.

The 30-year-old has a brilliant return in front of goal this campaign, scoring 15 goals and supplying seven assists in 39 appearances across all competitions.

He has proven to be a tricky wide player and was in scintillating form in the early stages of the campaign.

The right-winger is currently going through a mini drought as the end of the season approaches and is without a goal in the league since 10 March against Wolves.

Steve Bruce’s side have the play-offs just around the corner and the Ghana international will hope to play himself into the starting XI.

Sky Sports pundit Prutton has raved about Adomah despite his recent clip and feels overall he has been one of the key players at Villa Park.

“Albert Adomah has pulled up trees for Villa when their top goalscoring men have either being out of form or unfit and with Robert Snodgrass on the other side of the pitch they’ve got a real creative armoury to them,” Prutton wrote on Sky Sports.

OPINION

Adomah enjoyed a decent first season with Villa last year and since then has managed to turn it up another gear in his second campaign. The skilful winger has terrorised Championship full-backs at times and he has managed to become a serious goal threat on top of that. The Midlands giants have spread the goals across all the team this season and he has weighed in with his fair amount. The only disappointing thing for Adomah is that he is currently out of touch and Bruce has to stick with the form players when selecting his starting line up for the play-offs.
