Leeds must bin atacker Hadi Sacko this summer and replace the right-sided winger with Newcastle starlet Alex Gillead after it emerged the 22-year-old could leave St James’ Park as he has been unable to agree on a new deal.

According to a report in the Newcastle Chronicle, the hotshot winger, who is out of contract this summer, has impressed during his loan spell with Bradford but with first-team opportunities hard to come by in the north-east, his future with the Magpies looks increasingly bleak.

And with Sacko failing to muster anything other than a handful of disappointing appearances at Elland Road, Leeds can upgrade with Gilliead’s arrival.

Pablo Hernandez currently occupies the right of midfield for the Whites and has only recently agreed a new two-year deal, but at 33-years-old he does not have much time left in the game.

Gilliead can learn from the Spaniard whilst getting minutes on a sporadic basis, and it will mean that the club have a quality option on standby when the former Valencia winger steps away from football.

The Newcastle winger will be getting first-team opportunities which is something he lacks under Rafa Benitez and something he does not look like getting anytime soon.

Although the player himself revealed in the Newcastle Chronicle that his dream is to play in the starting XI at St James’ while his current situation remains unresolved, there is an opportunity to steal in for the ace.
