Everton are reportedly interested in signing Bournemouth centre-forward Callum Wilson and should press ahead with a swoop in the summer.

The Sun reports that the Toffees are eyeing the 26-year-old Englishman alongside Premier League rivals West Ham.

It is understood that Bournemouth want £25million for his signature and that he would only leave them for the right place at the end of the season.

Everton should take a gamble in bringing the striker to Goodison Park and forking out for his signature despite his injury problems in recent years.

A £25million price tag for a natural goalscorer seems a good deal given the current state of the transfer market and the Merseyside club should take the risk on him.

Wilson has eight goals in 24 games across all competitions this campaign, while his record at Premier League level has also seen him fetch a return of a goal every three games in his 54 appearances.

The attacker is blessed with phenomenal pace and would definitely give the Toffees an extra edge in the final third.

Cenk Tosun has shown recently he can be a good option in attack for Everton, but they need some further firepower for next season and adding someone over the summer with Premier League experience makes sense.

It would be fascinating to see if Wilson could make the necessary step up from Bournemouth at Everton, but he definitely has express speed and the potential to be a top player if he enjoys more luck with injuries.
