Villa fans rip into Snodgrass

|

Robert Snodgrass completed just 55 minutes in the defeat to Norwich before he was subsisted off – and Aston Villa fans on Twitter ripped into their own player for his display.

The Midlands giants suffered a 3-1 away loss at Carrow Road and that all but ended their slim chances of catching the automatic spots.

Steve Bruce’s side went behind courtesy of a spectacular left-footed effort from Josh Murphy on the stroke of half-time, while Dennis Srbeny then added a second from close range in the second period.

Villa ace Jack Grealish did pull a goal back for the visitors, before James Maddison made sure of the three points for Norwich with a third.

The play-offs now beckon for Bruce’s team and they will hope to go into those crucial matches in some good form.

Villa fans on social media vented their anger about Snodgrass after the game and feel that he had a shocker.

The 30-year-old winger has been a key player for large spells of the season, scoring eight goals and supplying 13 assists in the league.

However, supporters were convinced he was well below par against Norwich and that he drifted through the match.
