Leeds United fell to their 20th defeat of the Championship season with a lacklustre 2-1 loss to Norwich City on Saturday afternoon, and fans have taken to Twitter in force to call for manager Paul Heckingbottom to be sacked.
The Whites took the lead after 38 minutes through Kalvin Phillips, with the midfielder crashing the ball home after Ronaldo Vieira’s mishit volley.
Opponents Norwich however hit back just before the break when outgoing hero Wes Hoolahan saw his shot deflected against both posts before nestling in the net.
The Canaries pushed for a winner in the second-half and got their reward when Josh Murphy smashed home a shot which deflected off Leeds goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
Their 20th league defeat of the season leaves Leeds in 14th place in the Championship table, with Heckingbottom having managed just three wins from his 15 games in charge.
The former Barnsley man has begun to frustrate Leeds fans with the lack of impact he has managed to make at Elland Road, and fans took to Twitter after the match to call for him to go.
Many even admit that they have now changed their opinion of the 40-year-old after wanting to give him time to adjust to the job at first.
This is Futbol have rounded up some of the best tweets:
I was in the give PH time to bring in his own players during the summer and let him get his own ideas implemented camp, but as the weeks have gone on I really don’t trust his judgement and choices,so for me it’s got to be a change of manager, sooner rather than later #lufc #mot

I mean Paul Heckingbottom has turned Samu Saiz into Jimmy Kebe #lufc enough is enough!

If Heckingbottom is our manger next season we are getting relegated. No matter who he brings in his win ratio is beyond shocking and Barnsley have shown they've done better without him. Can't argue against facts @andrearadri #lufc

Hasn’t been the right man for the job since day one. Unfortunately sometimes faces just don’t fit. #LUFC will only go backwards under his leadership. Time to go, Hecky.

If Hecky is still in charge of #lufc next season it will prove Radz lack of ambition

You're the boss but between you and me I think we might need some changes and one big change in particular @andrearadri #lufc

As much as I tried to support PH, today is the final straw! #LUFC performances have systematically deteriorated week-on-week since his appointment and today he throws youngster TP ’under the bus’…unforgivable!
