Rangers duo Kenny Miller and Lee Wallace may have played their last games for the club, according to the Scottish Sun.

The newspaper claims that the pair are heading for the Ibrox exit doors after a major changing-room bust-up after the 4-0 defeat to Celtic at the weekend.

It is understood the senior players vented their frustration at manager Graeme Murty after the Old Firm defeat in the Scottish Cup semi-final and the club’s hierarchy have decided to take action.

The report details that centre-forward Miller will be sacked today (Tuesday) and the club will pay up the rest of his contract, which expires anyway at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, defender and captain Wallace will be suspended and it’s believed he has played his last game for the Gers.

Rangers’ senior players have been accused of showing disrespect to the manager with their angry outburst after another humiliation at the hands of Celtic, despite neither actually getting onto the pitch.

OPINION

Murty has reportedly been the main driving force behind the actions taken against Miller and Wallace, who understandably voiced their frustrations in the dressing room after another loss at the hands of Celtic. It is difficult to know if the duo stepped over the line in that confrontation, but either way it’s a big statement for the club to make to back a manager who’s future at Ibrox is hardly secure. Rangers attacker Miller was an unused substitute at the weekend and many supporters were stunned he played no role at all despite his goal in the previous league match. Meanwhile, to suspend full-back Wallace is another big call and it would be a sour end if the skipper has played his last game for the Light Blues.
