West Ham are interested in signing Hartlepool United defender Harrison Webster, according to TEAMtalk.

The news outlet claim that the 15-year-old is attracting a lot of attention and that the Hammers as well as Leicester City are among the clubs interested in signing him.

TEAMtalk report that Wolves currently lead the race for Webster as they have already had him on trial, and they are keen on securing a permanent deal for the left-back.

It is believed that despite only being 15-years-old, Webster is on the brink of the first-team squad at Victoria Park.

Good move for West Ham?

While not much is known about the teenage left-back, Webster must have something about him in order to be anywhere near Hartlepool’s first team squad at just 15-years-old.

The Hammers know they must recruit the best young talent from across the globe in order to build for a bright future.

So with Webster already being considered for senior football at Hartlepool, then he is a player that the Hammers should look closely at.

Likely to happen?

With Wolves already having taken Webster on trial, then the Hammers look like missing out on this talented youngster.

The current Championship leaders must have been impressed with what they saw first-hand as they are reportedly still keen to sign him.

If the Hammers want any chance of signing him, they need to act fast.
