Tottenham fans on social media were furious with winger Heung-Min Son after watching his performance against Manchester United on Saturday.
Spurs were knocked out of the FA Cup at the semi-final stage courtesy of Man United on Saturday, as Mauricio Pochettino’s side suffered a 2-1 defeat at Wembley.
The FA Cup was Spurs’ last chance of winning silverware this season and with them now out of the tournament, it will be another campaign without Spurs having lifted a trophy – 10 years since they last picked up a major title.
While fans were generally unhappy over their side’s loss, they showcased their anger over Son’s performance in particular on Twitter following the game.
One supporter tweeted that the 25-year-old winger had the touch of a Rhino during the match, while another stated that Son had simply not shown up.
There was one Spurs fan who tried to work out while Son wasn’t at his best, and suggested that the occasion of playing in a FA Cup semi-final had gotten to him.
Son has consistently been praised for his performances this season, after impressing everyone in the 48 appearances that he has made for Spurs during this campaign.
The 25-year-old has scored 18 goals, while creating 10 in his outings this season.
This is Futbol have rounded up some of the best tweets about Son’s performance v Manchester United:
What a ball by our Sanchez for the first, though. Nothing quite coming off for Son so far. Any new deal for Dembele should make a goal bonus the heftiest aspect, to get him to shoot sometimes. Game on… #COYS

Change required here, far too slow in possession this half. Son and Dembele well below their best, Lamela or Moura have to be on very soon surely?
Still plenty time, but make the sub(s) soon please Poch#COYS
