Manchester United starlet Axel Tuanzebe is set to spend another season on loan at Aston Villa, according to The Sun.

The newspaper report that manager Jose Mourinho is set to loan him out for another season despite the 20-year-old making just five appearances for the Villans since January.

The Sun claim that Mourinho wants the England youth international right-back to ply his trade under Villa boss Steve Bruce for another campaign.

It is said that the loan move is not dependent on whether Villa achieve promotion back to the Premier League, despite several top-flight clubs reportedly being interested in him.

A source is quoted as saying: “Axel could stay at Aston Villa. It’s not dependent on promotion at all. The club are still undecided but that’s what they’d like him to do. We know Villa are keen on him. He is expected to go on the US pre-season tour before Jose makes his final decision over him.”

Good move for Aston Villa?

Yes.

Despite Tuanzebe not showing his true colours yet at the club due to injury and competition, the youngster’s potential is clear to see and he would be a brilliant acquisition for next season.

Likely to happen?

It looks as though Mourinho has decided Bruce is the man to mentor Tuanzebe, and Villa looks a likely move for the youngster.

There are reportedly other clubs interested, but Villa look in a good position to secure Tuanzebe for next season.
