Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio has an offer from Liverpool on the table, according to Don Balon.

The Spanish football outlet claim that the 22-year-old also has offers from Chelsea, Manchester United as well as Paris St-Germain.

Don Balon report that Asensio has warned Real Madrid that he wants a greater role in the first-team and doesn’t just want to be used from the bench, or he will have to exit the club.

It is believed that the winger, who can play on either flank, will prioritise Real Madrid ahead of any other team but just wants them to value him as a person.

Asensio has made 25 appearances in La Liga this season to help the Spanish giants sit third in the table, by scoring six goals, while creating four.

Good move for Liverpool?

Yes.

The 22-year-old winger is a fantastic player and would light up Anfield with his dazzling ability.

Asensio is able to easily get past defenders due to his ability to skillfully trick his opponents, and could succeed in the Premier League.

The Madrid star is only set to get better due to his young age and if the Reds could ensure his long-term future was with them, both parties would benefit.

Likely to happen?

Sadly Don Balon aren’t the most reliable source, so it’s hard to know how much of this report is true.

If it is to be believed the chances of a deal happening are still slim.

Firstly the Reds would have to see off competition from Chelsea, Man Utd and PSG, which is a tough task.

And that’s assuming that Real Madrid don’t give into Asensio’s wishes by handing him more first-team football in order to stop him leaving the club.

Also Don Balon’s report states that the final straw that could force Asensio to leave is if his current side sign new wingers, but the Spanish giants aren’t overly linked to anyone in that position at the moment.
