Liverpool supporters on social media fuming over their sides failure to beat West Bromwich Albion on Saturday – and in particular lashed out at Alberto Moreno’s performance during the game.
The Reds drew 2-2 with the Baggies at The Hawthorns, letting a 2-0 lead slip for the points to be shared, and now turn their attention to playing AS Roma in the Champions League semi-finals on Tuesday.
However while the team’s attention may have already steered away from Saturday’s draw, supporters wanted their feelings known about Moreno’s display against WBA.
One fan tweeted that there was huge gulf in quality between Moreno and fellow Reds left-back Andy Robertson, while another claimed that the club should sell the Spanish defender in the next transfer window.
The 25-year-old full-back was making a rare Premier League appearance against the Baggies on Saturday, after only playing three minutes of the Reds’ past 20 league games.
Moreno was Jurgen Klopp’s first-choice left-back at the start of the campaign, missing only two of his sides first 14 league games, however a knee injury derailed his season.
Since returning to full fitness the Spanish international has been unable to overtake Robertson in the pecking order at the club, as the 24-year-old has been in tremendous form as of late.

Not great half. No real drive and cohesion. Disruptive changes to lineup showing. Left side of Moreno and Klavan weakest link. #LFC #YNWA

Alberto Moreno needs to be replaced in the next transfer window, defensive liability, he moves inside following the player and leave massive gaps on the left. So glad we got Robertson! #LFC

Harsh reality but Moreno is basically useless now that his best friend left in January.
