Liverpool would like Real Madrid duo Gareth Bale and Keylor Navas to be included in any part-exchange deal for winger Mohamed Salah, according to Don Balon.

The Spanish football outlet claim that the Reds have made it clear to Madrid president Florentino Perez that Salah would cost him £175.4million if he wants to buy him in the summer.

Don Balon report that Perez wishes to lower the 25-year-old winger’s price tag by offering the Reds a player as part of any deal.

It is believed that the Reds would be keen to welcome Bale and Navas in exchange for Salah, but Perez has his doubts about exchanging two players to get only one in return.

Good move for Liverpool?

No.

Don Balon claims Jurgen Klopp wants Navas to replace Loris Karius at Anfield, as he wants a first-class goalkeeper at the club.

However Navas,31, isn’t getting any younger and looks like his best days are behind him, so he’s hardly an upgrade on Karius.

The football outlet also suggests that the Reds believe Bale would be a decent replacement for Salah, but despite previously lighting up the Premier League for Tottenham, the 28-year-old is too injury prone to replace the Reds’ star man.

Klopp knows that Salah is more likely to have a greater affect on the Reds’ chances of achieving success than either of the two Madrid players linked with a move to Anfield.

Likely to happen?

No.

Don Balon are not the most reliable source and it’s always amusing to see how they think Real Madrid will be able to tempt Salah away from the Reds’ clutches.

While the report’s claim that Perez has made signing Salah his priority is believable, there’s no way the Reds are letting him leave Anfield even for £175.4million.

The 25-year-old has been too much of a revelation at Anfield, after scoring 43 goals in 48 appearances in his debut season, for him to be allowed to depart for any price or any other player.
