Everton fans took to social media after it was revealed that Arsene Wenger was stepping down as Arsenal manager in order to offer up Sam Allardyce as their next boss.
Toffees supporters hilariously claimed on Twitter that their current manager would be the perfect successor to Wenger at the Gunners and stated that they were willing to cope without Allardyce at the club.
One fan directly tweeted Arsenal in order to offer them the services of Allardyce who they sarcastically described as a great manager that was loved at Goodison Park.
While another fan responded to a tweet by talkSPORT that wanted to know who Arsenal fans wanted to replace Wenger, and jokingly revealed that if they supported the Gunners, they would want Allardyce appointed.
The Gunners confirmed on Friday that Wenger was set to leave their club at the end of their season by posting a statement on the club’s official website.
The London-based side revealed in their statement about Wenger that they were going to try and name his successor as soon as possible.
Until the next manager is named, Toffees supporters will no doubt cross their fingers and hope that Allardyce is indeed the man to succeed Wenger, based on their reaction on social media.
