Luis Enrique is demanding £200million to begin a total overhaul of the Arsenal squad should he take over from Arsene Wenger this summer, according to The Sun.

The newspaper report that the former Barcelona manager, who is favourite to be the next Gunners boss, is set to rip through the squad with overarching changes if he takes the job.

The Sun claim that the only two players who are completely safe from the axe are strike duo Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

It is said that the club’s defence and midfield are set for massive overhauls, with Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan identified as a key summer target.

OPINION

It will certainly be interesting to see how the incoming Arsenal manager deals with a squad that is quite frankly not up to scratch at Arsenal. There are too many average players at the club at the moment and that is showing in their performances on the pitch. A clear-out does seem to be needed, but it is doubtful that the club will have massive resources available to invest this summer, and so the new boss will need to be clever about his movements. Whatever happens, it will no doubt be a busy window for Arsenal, and an exciting one for their fan base.
