Everton must ditch Yannick Bolasie in the summer and sign West Bromwich Albion’s Nacer Chadli as his replacement.
The Toffees may have spent £25million on Bolasie in 2016, according to The Guardian, but the pacey winger clearly needs a lot of time in order to get back to his best.
The 28-year-old winger returned to the Toffees first-team this season after spending a long-time on the sidelines due to a serious knee injury.
While in the best case scenario the Toffees could afford to give the speed demon plenty of time to rediscover his best form, after having a terrible time this season, the club can’t wait around for him.
Bolasie has made 14 appearances for Sam Allardyce’s side during this campaign, and looks a long way off getting back to his best, so the club should just opt to get him offer their books once this season ends.
Luckily for the Toffees, the ideal replacement is set to be available in the summer and would cost only £17million.
The Daily Mail reported on Thursday that West Brom’s Chadli will be available to purchase for £17million in the summer, if his club is relegated, due to a clause in his contract.
The Baggies are very likely to experience relegation this season, as they currently sit bottom of the Premier League with only four games left to play.
The Toffees must jump at the opportunity to sign the very talented Chadli in the next transfer window as he would be revelation at Goodison Park next season.
The 28-year-old winger has plenty of Premier League experience, having made 122 appearances in England’s top-flight, and would have no problem settling into life at the club.
Chadli may have only made three appearances for West Brom this season due to a hip injury, but despite his limiting playing time, he has still managed to grab a goal in his outings this season.
This shows his ability to make the most of his minutes, and when you consider his powerful frame combined with his aerial prowess, Chadli could make a positive impact at the Toffees.
Therefore the Toffees must get rid of Bolasie in the next window and quickly swoop to sign Chadli as his replacement.
