Steve Bruce must axe Albert Adomah for Aston Villa’s next game against Reading as the 30-year-old winger was unbelievably bad during the draw against Hull City.

The Villans only managed to register a 0-0 draw with the Tigers on Saturday, and Adomah had several chances to give his side the win.

However the winger was unable to clinically finish his opportunities in front of goal and this saw the Villans only manage to draw with a struggling Championship side.

This wasn’t Adomah’s first bad display, the winger was ineffective in the Villans’ two league games prior to the draw with Hull.

The 30-year-old did nothing to stop his side from suffering defeats to Queens Park Rangers and Bolton, which means it’s now time for Bruce to plonk the winger on his bench.

Ahead of this recent downturn in form, Adomah have been loving life at Villa Park this season.

Never before has the winger managed to score 15 goals in a single season, even when he played in League Two, but that’s exactly what he has done during this campaign.

Adomah’s eye for goal this season has allowed the Villans to cope without Jonathan Kodjia, who has been injured for large parts of this campaign.

The winger’s goals have also covered for Keinan Davis and Scott Hogan’s lack of success in front of goal.

However after his recent performances, it’s cleared to see that Bruce can’t afford to waste a place in his starting line-up on the veteran winger.

Therefore Adomah for the sake of the Villans’ best interests, shouldn’t be starting the game against Reading on Tuesday.
