Tottenham will need to add a few marque signings to their squad in the summer to help their improvement and Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is a name that should appear at the top of their transfer targets.

The 21-year-old has been one of the best young players in the Premier League this season and quite often is an unsung hero for the Foxes.

He is a no-nonsense defensive midfielder that is very much cut from the same cloth as Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante, who is viewed by most as one of the very best in the business at protecting the back four.

Ndidi has been one of the key men at Leicester this season and there is no doubt he could play at a higher level.

The Nigeria international is a powerhouse that is brilliant at tackling and intercepting, while the central midfielder is also so hard to knock off the ball in possession.

He has drawn comparisons to Kante due to his defensive work-rate and at his age is only going to keep improving in the coming years.

Spurs should definitely be looking to pick up one of the league’s rising stars and he would definitely compete for a regular spot in the starting XI.

Victor Wanyama is yet to really discover his best form since his return from injury, while Mousa Dembele is more of a box-to-box midfielder that operates best alongside a defensive head.

Mauricio Pochettino needs to try add players in the summer that can compete for a role in the starting line up and the Leicester man definitely fits the bill.
