Heung-Min Son is now the Tottenham player all their fans are talking about, but he was struggling to cement his position in the side at the beginning of the season.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pocehttino certainly laid down the gauntlet to the 25-year-old and showed him that he needed to improve to become a mainstay in the starting XI.

The versatile attacker completed 90 minutes just once in the opening 10 Premier League games and quite often had to make do with substitute appearances.

However, his form has rocketed after a patch opening few months and is now arguably the first name on the team sheet.

The left-winger scored five goals in his last four games in all competitions before the international break and looks a world-class player based on his current form.

He has shown his importance to Pochettino by stepping in as a centre-forward for the injured Harry Kane and is a vital member of the side.

Son had to battle through a difficult start of the campaign and is now reaping the rewards for it.

The South Korea international now has 18 goals in all competitions this season and also supplied a further nine assists.

Pochettino has proven once again why he is such an excellent man-manager and so often knows how to get the best out of his players.

Spurs are still competing for a top four spot in the Premier League and are also in the FA Cup semi-finals, where they will face Manchester United.

Son is likely to continue playing a key role and has shown that he can score all types of goals when he is in such confidence.
