Tottenham will reportedly sanction the sale of Fernando Llorente in the summer – and the club’s supporters have approved of the speculation.

The Evening Standard claims that Spurs are going to put the centre-forward up for sale at the end of the season after just one season with the club.

Llorente linked up with Mauricio Pochettino’s side at the start of the season to provide competition for Harry Kane in attack and had managed 15 Premier League goals in the 2016/17 campaign for Swansea.

The 33-year-old is an extremely experienced player with a wealth of silverware, but has struggled to get much of a sniff alongside Kane.

He has managed just five goals all season for the North London club and been very much on the fringes.

Spurs could be without talisman Kane for an extended period due to his injury, but the Evening Standard reports that Heung-Min Son and Erik Lamela are likely to fill the gap he leaves instead of a more straightforward swap with Llorente.

Spurs fans on social media have given the green light to allow the striker’s exit in the summer given his lack of influence this campaign.
