Alfredo Morelos completed 90 minutes in the defeat to Celtic on Sunday – and Rangers fans on Twitter branded him ‘pathetic’ for his performance.
The 21-year-old centre-forward was unable to get himself on the scoresheet as the Light Blues lost at home 3-2 in the league.
Graeme Murty’s side twice blew leads in the game and the match was evenly posited at 2-2 going into the half-time break.
The Gers played against 10-man Celtic for over 30 minutes after a red card was shown to Jozo Simunovic, but they were stunned by Brendan Rodgers’ team.
Odsonne Edouard curled in the winner for the visitors at Ibrox and moved his side nine points clear in the league table.
Rangers fans on social media decided to take their frustration out at Morelos after he failed to get on the scoresheet.
The striker missed a huge opportunity to rescue a point in the closing stages as he struck the post from close-range when it seemed impossible to miss.
He has netted 17 times already this campaign and has been in good form, but failed to deliver in the pressure of the Old Firm clash and fans were furious with his mistake.

We should’ve won that game the day. Missed sitter from Morelos was the nail in the coffin for us. Gutted is an understatement

I love Morelos, and you know for a fact he's just as gutted as us, but he has cost us at least 1 if not 3 points there
