Tottenham are involved in the hunt to sign winger Zizo from Portuguese top-flight club Moreirense, according to TeamTalk.

The news outlet claims that Spurs, Liverpool, Leicester, Benfica, Porto and Monaco are all in the race for the 22-year-old attacker.

However, it is understood that Leicester are currently the frontrunners to sign him and the Foxes view him as a long-term replacement for Riyad Mahrez.

The report details that Spurs are one of the teams to monitor the Egyptian, who would favour a transfer to the Premier League over any other league.

Zizo is currently plying his trade in Portugal with a Moreirense side that are 14th in the Primeira Liga.

Good move for Spurs?

Zizo is a versatile attacker that can play anywhere across the frontline, but is yet to do anything in his career that would suggest he could make it with the North London club.

He has made 28 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring just two goals and supplying one assist.

The widespread interest in him suggest he must have big potential and it could be worth Spurs taking a gamble on his signature, with the fee surely set to be a minimal one.

Likely to happen?

Zizo appears like he could be in line for a switch to England in the future, but Leicester are definitely considered the most likely to snap him up.

Spurs fans would definitely raise a few eyebrows if he joined them as it is difficult to see how he could compete with the likes of Lucas Moura, Heung-Min Son and Erik Lamela.
