West Ham should swoop for Everton’s Kieran Dowell after the talented 20-year-old revealed he may have to leave Goodison Park in the summer to get first-team opportunities.

The Toffees starlet, who is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest, was asked about the chances of him returning to the Championship side next season.

“I’ll see what happens in the summer,” Dowell told the Nottingham Post.

“Obviously, if I’m in Everton’s plans then I’d love it, but if not I wouldn’t rule it out.”

The Nottingham Post reported that Dowell is likely to have plenty of clubs interested in him during the summer, if the Toffees decide to loan him out once again.

However the Hammers could easily make a move to sign him on a permanent basis as his contract is set to expire in 2019.

The Toffees attacking midfielder is exactly the type of player David Moyes needs at the London Stadium.

Dowell has plenty of energy to revive the Hammers’ aging midfield and has the creative vision in order to improve the club’s current goal threat.

The 20-year-old have proven he is ready for regular first-team football in the Premier League, by excelling in the Championship with Nottingham Forest this season.

Dowell has scored 10 goals, while creating five, in his 42 outings this season and was one of his side’s best performers as they knocked Arsenal out of the FA Cup.

Sam Allardyce’s side won’t be keen to lose the talented rookie as he is destined to achieve greatness in the game, but a frustrated Dowell could force through a move if he is set to be ignored by his parent club in the summer.

Therefore after admitting that he could leave Goodison Park ahead of next season, the Hammers must try to sign him in the summer on a permanent basis.
