Real Madrid have been informed through an intermediary that Liverpool will not sell Mohamed Salah for less than £141.8million, according to El Confidencial.

The Spanish newspaper claim that the Reds will not let the 25-year-old go for less than what they sold Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona for under any circumstances.

El Confidencial report that Jurgen Klopp’s side would look ideally for a fee in the region of £159.5 million for Salah as they believe that’s how much Paris Saint-Germain will sell Kylian Mbappé for in the summer.

It is believed that Real Madrid see Salah as the ideal replacement for Gareth Bale who is likely to leave the club in the summer if Zinedine Zidane departs the club.

The Reds only signed Salah in the summer from AS Roma after paying £34million for him, according to the BBC, but he is already seen as a key player at the club after scoring 32 goals in his debut season at Anfield.

Good move for Liverpool?

No, unless Salah wants to leave.

If the 25-year-old Egyptian winger demands to go to Real Madrid and causes problems at the club, then getting a fee in the region of £159.5million would be a remarkably achievement.

However ideally, everything should be done to keep Salah happy at the club as he is likely to be able to help his side win trophies in the near future.

Likely to happen?

No.

Real Madrid are constantly linked to the best players in the Premier League and there’s no reason to suggest that they will make a move for Salah in the summer.

El Confidencial’s report reveals a long list of targets that the Spanish giants are considering and Salah seems to be low down on their list compared to other players.
