Aston Villa recorded a 1-1 draw at home to Preston on Tuesday night in the Championship – and the club’s supporters on Twitter have rallied to demand fringe player Callum O’Hare is recalled to the squad.
The 19-year-old has been on the fringes this and has played a lot of games for the club’s Under-23s side.
He is an attack-minded midfielder that has played seven senior games for the Midlands giants this campaign and is being tipped for greatness as he develops.
Villa missed the chance to move into the top two of the Championship in midweek as they were held at home to Preston, while second-placed Cardiff could open up a four-point gap if they win their game in hand.
Lewis Grabban’s second-half penalty salvaged a point for the hosts, but they were missing the creative forces of Albert Adomah and Jack Grealish due to injuries
Villa fans on social media are convinced that teenager O’Hare should get another run in the first team moving forward and some suggested he should replace Josh Onomah in the side.
O’Hare has not featured in the senior team squad since 18 January and there is a big outcry from supporters to see the English midfielder get another chance.
