Scott Hogan completed 90 minutes in the away defeat against Fulham on Saturday afternoon – and the Aston Villa fans on Twitter destroyed their attacker for his individual performance.

Steve Bruce’s side suffered a 2-0 loss at Craven Cottage in the Championship, which saw them fall out of the automatic spots as Cardiff leapfrogged them in the league table.

17-year-old sensation Ryan Sessegnon continued his remarkable season by opening the scoring early in the second-half, which was his 12th goal of the campaign.

Floyd Ayite then doubled Fulham’s advantage and made sure of the three points after a mistake from goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.

The Midlands giants saw their seven-game winning run finally come to an end in the league and they host promotion rivals Preston next.

Villa fans on social media decided to single out Hogan for his display and they feel the centre-forward made very little impact in attack.

The 25-year-old struggled to hold the ball up and failed to add to his eight-goal tally for the season.

He has been a key figure in recent weeks during their brilliant run of form and rediscovered his goalscoring touch, but came in for severe criticism after one bad day at the office.
