Aston Villa fans slammed Joshua Onomah on social media for his display against Sheffield Wednesday, despite the Villans winning the game 4-2.
Onomah didn’t play the whole of the game against the Owls on Saturday and was subbed off in the 61st minute when Aston Villa were trailing 2-1 in the match.
The 20-year-old, who is on loan from Tottenham for the season, was replaced by Keinan Davis in the game.
After Davis’ introduction, the Villans managed to turn the game around with Conor Hourihane and Robert Snodgrass scoring in the last few minutes of the game to earn their side a victory.
One Aston Villa fan tweeted that they thought it was no coincidence that the club managed to perform better once Onomah had left the game.
While several other supporters revealed that they didn’t want to see the 20-year-old midfielder play for their club again.
Since joining from Spurs on loan in the summer, Onomah has made 30 appearances, scoring four goals and grabbing one assist.
Despite featuring regularly under Steve Bruce, one Villans supporter tweeted that the midfielder has never shown that he wanted to be at the club, and will never make it at Spurs with that sort of attitude.

59’ – Davis on for Josh Onomah. He wasn’t awful, but had zero impact on the match. Kind of just existed. #AVFC #THFC

Please get Jack and Adomah back fit. Never play Onomah again – I'm not "scapegoating" him he is average and doesn't suit out style or play. Too slow on the ball and rarely finds a forward pass. Taylor was excellent when he came on; made us solid down our left. #AVFC
