Moyes scouts Fredericks and Cairney

|

Fulham duo Tom Cairney and Ryan Fredericks are transfer targets for West Ham boss David Moyes, according to a club insider.

ExWHUemployee, a reliable and exclusive source for insider information on West Ham, claimed on Twitter on Thursday that the Whites duo were on Moyes’ radar after a personal scouting mission.

Ex was replying to a tweet stating that Moyes was in Bristol to attend the Robins’ Championship match against Fulham, and asking who were the potential scouting targets.

West Ham reportedly chased Fulham captain Cairney in the January transfer window, with Sky Sports journalist Bryan Swanson claiming that the Hammers saw an £18million bid rejected for the attacking midfielder.

Fulham teammate Fredericks, who is a former Tottenham academy graduate, is out of contract at the end of the season and could possibly move on for a free transfer this summer.

OPINION

Cairney and Fredericks are both exciting options for West Ham, and it is no surprise to hear that Moyes is scouting the duo. However, his trip to Bristol on Wednesday would have been a disappointing one. Cairney put in a seriously poor performance for the Whites in midfield as they drew 1-1 with their promotion rivals, and Fredericks did not even play after being named on the bench.
