Tottenham Hotspur are set to battle Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester United for Deportivo La Coruna forward Pinchi, according to The Sun

The newspaper claim that the 22-year-old Spanish attacker is out of contract in the summer and will be available for a cut-price compensation fee.

The Mirror report that Tottenham have been impressed by Pinchi, and see him as a potential alternative to Malcom, who was a target in the January transfer window.

It is said that Liverpool are currently at the head of the pack, with Jurgen Klopp looking to add to his forward line that has endured the loss of Philippe Coutinho in January.

Pinchi has reportedly caught the eye of Premier League scouts with his pace on the wings, and looks set to move on from Deportivo this summer.

The speed machine is currently playing for Deportivo’s B team, who ply their trade in the third-tier of Spanish football, and has scored six times in 22 league appearances this season.

Good move for Tottenham Hotspur?

It seems rather strange that so many Premier League sides are interested in Pinchi.

The winger has been playing in the third-tier of Spanish football, and his numbers aren’t particularly eye-catching.

Furthermore, at 22 years old, it is not as though he is an up-and-coming teenager.

Obviously the club are looking for alternatives to Malcom, who looks set to cost a large amount of money, but surely they could do better than this.

Likely to happen?

It looks as though Liverpool are leading the race for Pinchi at the moment.

However, there is a long way to go between now and the summer, and things could change massively in that period.
