Tottenham want Richarlison and Abdoulaye Doucoure

|

Tottenham are plotting a £50million move for Watford’s Richarlison and Abdoulaye Doucoure in the summer, according to The Sun.

The newspaper claim that Mauricio Pochettino has set his sights on the duo, as he is determined to add options to his squad with Harry Kane needing support upfront.

The Sun report that Richarlison is believed to be worth £30million even though Watford only signed the 20-year-old winger from Fluminense for £13million last summer.

Doucoure signed for £4.5m from Rennes in 2016 and Spurs are planning to swoop for the central midfielder as he is yet to sign a new deal with the Hornets to extend his stay past 2020.

Both players will be given a significant pay wise at Spurs in order to get their signatures and see off other clubs’ interest in them.

The Sun’s report shares that Chelsea are believed to be interested in Richarlison as he has scored five goals in 25 league appearances this season.

The newspaper doesn’t report any club as being interested in Doucoure, but he is sure to garner interest in the summer after scoring seven goals in 27 league outings.

Despite the duo both impressing this season, Watford have struggled in the Premier League and sit only four points clear of the relegation zone.

Good move for Tottenham?

Yes.

The Watford duo have impressed in what has been a dismal season for the Hornets, and both would be welcomed at Tottenham with open arms.

The pair have scored a combined total of 12 goals in 52 league appearances this season.

The deal is also potentially a cheap one to get done, if the Hornets accept £50million for the pair, as normally that sort of money only gets you one excellent player, not two.

Likely to happen?

There is a good chance this will happen, especially with the Hornets struggling this season.

Both players would jump at the chance to join Tottenham with the club looking destined to achieve success over the next few seasons.

Watford would be tempted to cash in on both players, as getting £50million for the duo, would be very impressive given how much they cost the Hornets to sign.
