Tottenham Hotspur welcome League Two side Newport County to Wembley on Wednesday for an FA Cup fourth-round replay, and Mauricio Pochettino is expected to make ten changes from the starting XI that drew with Liverpool at the weekend.

Spurs managed to salvage a point from a thrilling match at Anfield that looked to be going against them, with Harry Kane scoring from the spot on 95 minutes to break Liverpool hearts.

Midfield destroyer Victor Wanyama had equalised after Mo Salah’s early opener, with the Kenyan rocketing home an unstoppable half-volley on 80 minutes.

Kane then missed a penalty before Salah slotted home after a dazzling solo run to take Liverpool back into the lead, with Spurs then being awarded a second penalty for a Virgil van Dijk kick on Erik Lamela.

Spurs’ star man Kane made no mistake with his second spot-kick, with the Lilywhites coming away from Anfield with a well-deserved point.

Attentions now turn to the FA Cup and a replay with Newport, who stunned Spurs by very nearly claiming a famous win at Rodney Parade before Kane scored late to secure a replay.

The Exiles are coming in off two consecutive losses in League Two, and the club are without a win in four in all competitions.

This is FutbolĀ have selected Tottenham’s expected XI for the match, including ten changes, with rests for the big guns and recalls for several fringe players who will be desperate to impress.
