Tottenham best XI v Crystal Palace

|

Hugo Lloris (Goalkeeper) – The obvious choice in goal for Spurs, Lloris is a brilliant stopper and an outstanding leader at the back for Pochettino. Comes in for Michel Vorm.

Kieran Trippier (Right-back) – Trippier has worked his way back into contention for the first-choice right-back spot after being shunted down the pecking order by Serge Aurier. The England international’s pinpoint delivery is his main attribute, and Spurs will be hoping he is on the money on Sunday. Retains his place.

Davinson Sanchez (Centre-back) – Sanchez has been a revelation for Spurs this season since his £42million move from Ajax in the summer. Spurs have not felt Toby Alderweireld’s absence too much thanks to the Colombian, and he must be restored in the Belgian’s place on Sunday. Sanchez comes in for contract rebel Alderweireld, whose future at the club is up in the air.

Jan Vertonghen (Centre-back) – Vertonghen has been so reliable for Spurs this season, and has formed a formidable partnership with Sanchez. Must be reinstated on Sunday. Vertonghen for Juan Foyth.

Ben Davies (Left-back) – Danny Rose suffered an unfortunate injury setback which has allowed Davies to take his place as Pochettino’s preferred left-back. The Wales international is easily the better defender, and his improved attacking play means he is a better all-round option. Davies for Rose.
