Frank Lampard has pinpointed Son Heung-Min as the potential match-winner for Tottenham Hotspur as they face Juventus in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
Spurs travel to Turin for the first-leg of their last-16 tie looking to match their last knockout appearance in the Champions League when they reached the quarter-finals in 2010/11.
The Lilywhites come into the tie off the back of a big 1-0 win over rivals Arsenal at the weekend which put them right back in the mix to qualify for the Champions League again next season.
Speaking in a column for the Evening Standard, Lampard said: “If [Harry] Kane can’t provide the goals, then they still have quality players behind him that can like Heung-min Son. He has been underrated for a few seasons but I think that sentiment has started to turn.
“All eyes have been drawn to Dele Alli and Kane but what Son has done over the past year or two is complement his quality with the other players. He brings a bit of speed, takes people on one v one. No one else really has that in the team. He can create things out of nothing for them.”
Son has been on great form for Spurs this season after being left on the bench for much of the early running, and is now an indispensable part of their four-man attack, with Kane, Alli, and Christian Eriksen.
The South Korea international has eleven goals and eight assists in all competitions this season, including three goals in the Champions League group stages.

Everyone is slowly starting to realise how good a player Son is after his heroics for Spurs this season, and the South Korean deserves the recognition. His pace and trickery on the wings causes problems for every defence, and his finishing is so underrated. However, the biggest change that has been seen in his game is his team ethic. When he arrived at Spurs, Son was rather selfish, and would take shots on in situations that needed a pass. Now the South Korean is always looking to find his teammates, but is still not afraid to shoot when the chance is on. Hopefully he can continue his good form on Tuesday and carry Spurs to a famous European away win.
