Tottenham fans took to social media to voice their frustration at the performance of Serge Aurier in their Champions League clash against Juventus.

Spurs came from 2-0 down to earn a 2-2 draw in the first leg of their Champions League clash, which has put them in a great position ahead of the second leg at Wembley on March 7.

Juventus made an unbelievable start to the game with Gonzalo Higuain scoring a brace to give the Italian giants a two-goal lead after only nine minutes had been played.

However, Tottenham fought back much to their supporters delight with Harry Kane pulling a goal back for his side in the 35th minute of the game.

Higuian then fluffed his lines by missing his chance to get a hat-trick from the penalty spot as the veteran striker’s effort struck the crossbar before being cleared.

Spurs then made the most of Juventus failing to extend their lead as Christian Eriksen grabbed an important second away goal for his side by whipping home a free-kick in the 71st minute.

Several players earned praise from Tottenham supporters on social media for their part in Spurs’ heroic comeback but Aurier instead found himself coming under heavy criticism.

One fan on Twitter stated that everyone but Aurier had played brilliantly, while another labelled the right-back’s performance as woeful.

Aurier was booked in the opening minutes of the second half, which means he will miss the second leg through suspension.
