Tottenham fans on social media were less than impressed with Kyle Walker after he revealed that he still held the club in his heart.

In an interview with Sky Sports, the Manchester City right-back shared that he hoped his current side beat Arsenal in the League Cup final on Sunday as he still saw the Gunners as his bitter rivals.

“Spurs is a club which belongs to my heart and to get one over on their bitter rivals, and mine for a long time, would be a fantastic feeling, but it’s a game of football and anything can happen in 90 minutes,” said Walker.

Walker signed for Manchester City in the summer after the current league leaders paid Tottenham £53million, according to The Guardian, to sign him.

The 27-year-old spent six years at Spurs and made 229 appearances for the club, but Walker failed to win any trophies during his time at Tottenham.

Tottenham fans were less than happy for him to join one of their Premier League rivals and it seemed a lot of their supporters were still not keen to hear him talk about their club.

After hearing his comments about facing Arsenal, one fan tweeted that he shouldn’t be talking about Spurs while another sarcastically asked if he would be handing Tottenham the trophy.
