Tottenham expected XI v Juventus

|

Eric Dier (Central midfield) – Dier seems to be criticised when he puts in a poor display, and then ignored when he plays well for Spurs, which is more often than not. The midfield enforcer put in another sterling performance against the Gunners on Saturday, but was overshadowed by a stormer from midfield partner Mousa Dembele. Still expected to start v Juventus. Retains his place.

Victor Wanyama (Central midfield) – Wanyama truly announced his return from injury with his screamer against Liverpool, and Spurs are expected to bring him back in for the Juventus clash. Dembele put in a dazzling performance against Arsenal, but concerns over the destroyer’s long-term fitness remain and it is doubtful that Pochettino will risk him in a second game in three days. Wanyama for Dembele.
