Tottenham best XI v Juventus

|

Hugo Lloris (Goalkeeper) – The obvious choice in goal for Spurs, Lloris is a brilliant stopper and an outstanding leader at the back for Pochettino. Retains his place.

Kieran Trippier (Right-back) – Trippier has usurped Serge Aurier as Spurs’ first-choice right-back in recent weeks, and put in another outstanding display against Arsenal. While many will think Aurier should come in for this one, Trippier’s form is too good to ignore and he must play. Retains his place.

Davinson Sanchez (Centre-back) – Sanchez responded to his critics so well on Saturday after dodgy performance against Liverpool, with the Colombian dominating proceedings at the back for Spurs. Must play again on Tuesday. Retains his place.

Jan Vertonghen (Centre-back) – Vertonghen has quite simply been sublime for Spurs this season, with the big Belgian handling Toby Alderweireld’s absence alongside him so well. Another brilliant display against Arsenal puts him in the frame as being Spurs’ best player this season. Retains his place.

Danny Rose (Left-back) – Rose suffered an unfortunate injury setback which has allowed Ben Davies to take his place as Pochettino’s preferred left-back. But the 27-year-old must come back in against Juventus, as his pace down the wing can offer possibilities on the break. Rose for Davies.
