Liverpool made an approach for Real Madrid starlet Marco Asensio in January and are lining up a summer move for the 22-year-old winger, according to Diario Gol.
The Spanish football news website reports that Asensio currently has five teams chasing his signature, including Chelsea, Arsenal, Juventus and Bayern Munich, along with the Reds.
Diario Gol claim that Asensio is considering a summer exit from the Bernabeu after being consigned to a bench role this season under Zinedine Zidane, and will make his decision at the end of the season.
It is said that the speed machine’s preference is to stay with Los Blancos, but he will not hesitate to leave if his role does not change at the club.
Asensio has made 35 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 10 goals and providing five assists.
