Martin Dubravka made his Newcastle United debut in the win over Manchester United on Sunday – and the club’s supporters on Twitter were delighted with his performance.
The 29-year-old goalkeeper starred as the Magpies recorded a vital 1-0 victory against Man United at St James’ Park.
Matt Ritchie scored the winner with his powerful left-footed effort in the penalty area, which was his first goal of the season.
The result means that Rafael Benitez’s side climbed out of the bottom three and are now two points above the drop zone.
They are involved in a tight battle to avoid relegation, but picked up a bonus three points against second-placed Man United.
Newcastle fans on social media decided to single out goalkeeper Dubravka for his performance as he managed to keep a clean sheet on his debut.
The Slovakian shot-stopper impressed during his first taste of English football and made several strong saves to keep Man United out.
He also caught the eye with his range of distribution and has already done enough to get fans on side.
Dubravka moved to St James’ Park in the January transfer window on loan until the end of the season and is an experienced player that has featured in the Champions League before.

From a combination of what I've seen myself and what I've heard of Dubravka he seems like a decent keeper. The kind Rafa wants at any rate #NUFC
