Premier League scouts are set to run the rule over emerging Wolves star Cameron John on Monday, according to the Daily Mail

The newspaper claim that 18-year-old centre-back John is set to feature for Wolves Under-23s against Aston Villa, and several Premier League clubs are expected to be in attendance.

The Mail also report that multiple Championship scouts will also be watching on as they assess the young enforcer, who has appeared in all but four of the club’s PL2 matches this season.

It is said that Wolves were willing to let John go out on loan in January, but were not able to secure a suitable move.

The versatile defender, who can also play at full-back, is yet to make his senior debut for the club after joining from Southend United as a 15 year old.

John is an emerging talent for Championship leaders Wolves and will be one to watch in the near future. The powerful youngster has been a feature for the Under-23s this season, and has been eyed up by several top clubs already despite not making his full debut yet. It looks likely that John will either move out on loan or even permanently this summer, with Wolves sure to brace themselves for several different offers.
