West Ham have rejected a loan offer for Diafra Sakho from Rennes, according to Sky Sports.

The broadcaster believes that 28-year-old forward is keen to leave the Hammers as he feels undervalued by the club.

Sky Sports report that Sakho earns £30,000-a-week while his fellow strikers at the club earn between £80,000 and £110,000-a-week.

Rennes attempted to sign the Hammers forward on transfer deadline day in the summer, but a proposed £9million move failed to go through.

Sakho even passed an unauthorised medical at the Ligue 1 club ahead of the move, according to Sky Sports.

There are a host of clubs interested in Sakho, with Sky Sports previously reporting that Crystal Palace had a achieved a fee for the forward.

However, the 28-year-old was thought to be pushing for a move to Newcastle United, Swansea City or West Bromwich Albion, according to the Daily Mail’s Live Transfer Blog (Tuesday 13:10).

Sakho has made 17 appearances for the Hammers this season, scoring four goals.

Good move for West Ham?

With the striker apparently wanting a move, the Hammers should only consider sealing a permanent exit for the forward.

It makes sense that West Ham have rejected a loan offer for the forward, as there’s plenty of clubs reportedly interested in Sakho, who will try to sign him permanently.

Crystal Palace have already reportedly agreed a fee for Sakho, so there’s no need for the Hammers to accept Rennes’ loan offer.

Likely to happen?

The forward will leave West Ham, and due to his determination, it looks like happening in January.

If Rennes are serious about acquiring the forward, then they will come back with a transfer offer.

The Ligue 1 club nearly signed him in the summer for £9million, and it shouldn’t take too much convincing for them to submit a similar offer.
