Rangers defender Danny Wilson is reportedly on the verge of a transatlantic move to the Colorado Rapids in the MLS – and Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to slam him for jumping ship.

As reported by the Scottish Sun, Wilson is due to undergo a medical today (Friday) ahead of a lucrative move to the Rapids, with the MLS season set to kick off in March.

This will be the second time that Wilson has left Rangers in his career, with the 26-year-old leaving his boyhood club for Liverpool in 2010.

The Rangers academy graduate failed to make an impact at Anfield before loan spells with Blackpool, Bristol City, and Hearts led him to a permanent move to Tynecastle in 2013.

From there he returned to Ibrox in 2015, and has developed into a key first-team player under Graeme Murty after being frozen out by Pedro Caixinha, and he has now made over 100 appearances for the club.

Murty confirmed that the club were in talks with Wilson over a new deal, but it looks as though the 26-year-old has been lured to the US with the promise of a lucrative contract with the Rapids.
