West Ham fans react to latest injury news

|

West Ham fans were panicking on social media after a report suggested that Marko Arnautovic and Manuel Lanzini were both set for significant time on the sidelines.

Football.London reported that the attacking duo both picked up hamstring injuries during the Hammers 1-1 draw with Bournemouth.

The report revealed that West Ham could potentially be without Arnautovic for at least three weeks, with Lanzini facing six weeks out injured.

Arnautovic and Lanzini have scored nine goals and registered 13 assists between them this season.

The attacking pair will likely both miss the Premier League games against Crystal Palace, Watford, Liverpool and Brighton.

This run of games is important, as three of those teams are involved in the battle for Premier League survival.

The Hammers currently only sit four points clear of the relegation zone, despite being 11th in the table.

David Moyes was already suffering a selection headache ahead of the duo’s reported setback, as forwards Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho are also unavailable because of injury.

Upon reading the latest injury report, Hammers supporters shared their concerns on Twitter.

One fan said that he was now in line to play against Wigan in West Ham’s next game following the injuries; while another said the Hammers would be relegated if they don’t sign cover in the January transfer window.
