Joe Hart is ready to try and end his loan spell at West Ham before the transfer window closes on Wednesday, according to the Times.

The newspaper claims that the goalkeeper wishes to end his time at the Hammers as he has fallen behind Adrian in the pecking order at the club.

The Times report that Hart wants to leave the club as he wants to ensure he is England’s number one choice at the World Cup in the summer, and not playing regularly will hurt his case.

The 30-year-old has failed to appear in West Ham’s last 10 Premier League matches, but was in goal for their last game against Wigan in the FA Cup on Saturday.

The Times’ report that Hart was told he’d be first choice when he joined West Ham in the summer but David Moyes is not guaranteeing that the goalkeeper will make any appearances.

The Hammers slumped to a 1-0 win against the League One opposition, which means Hart has conceded a total of 33 goals in 18 appearances for the club this season.

Good move for West Ham?

No. While Adrian is clearly the first-choice at West Ham currently, Moyes will not want to be left without sufficient cover.

If Adrian was to get injured, Hart would instantly be called back into first-team action and he could also be required if Adrian’s form suddenly dips.

The goalkeeper may want to do what’s best for him, but his decision could potentially have a terrible effect on the Hammers.

Likely to happen?

No, it would be a huge surprise if Hart departed the London Stadium in this window.

Hart may want to leave the club but even if he throws a tantrum, then the Hammers aren’t going to allow him to leave.

Especially as the Hammers paid £4.5million to bring the 30-year-old to the club for the season, according to Sky Sports.

The £4.5million price was believed to cover some of the player’s wages for the season, as well as include a fee for taking him on loan.
