Turkish giants Besiktas are eyeing up a loan swoop for West Ham striker Javier Hernandez, according to the Daily Mail

The newspaper report that Besiktas have begun to show interest in Hernandez, but David Moyes has no intention of letting the Mexican international leave on a temporary deal.

The Mail claim that the only player Moyes will allow to go without a replacement lined up first is Diafra Sakho.

It is said that Moyes is focused on bringing in some midfield reinforcements alongside one defender.

As quoted by the Mail, Moyes said last week: “Ideally we strengthen, so my intention is not to let anyone go. We’ve got four or five strikers and the competition is tough for all of them but I’m happy that way. If we were (to sell) it would take an awful lot of money in this window to prise any of them out.”

Good move for West Ham?

As recognised by Moyes, there is no point in the Hammers sanctioning loan exits this month.

Especially not for a player of Chicharito’s quality.

Unless Besiktas come in with a big offer for a permanent deal, then this would be a poor move from the Hammers.

The Mexican international may not have been firing on all cylinders since his summer move from Bayer Leverkusen, but he still carries a big goal threat, and that will be key in the upcoming relegation battle.

Likely to happen?

No.

The club seem to be very set in their aims already this month, and unless some big bids come in for permanent exits, it looks as though the only player leaving will be Sakho.
