Tottenham Hotspur are keen on a sensational double swoop for Barcelona duo Andre Gomes and Denis Suarez this month, according to The Telegraph.
The newspaper report that Spurs remain interested in central midfielder Gomes, who was heavily linked with a move to north London in the summer window.
The Telegraph also claim that Mauricio Pochettino is eyeing up a move for his Barca teammate Denis Suarez, with the winger possibly available on loan.
Both players have been out of favour at the Blaugrana this season, having made just 19 La Liga appearances between them.
Good move for Tottenham Hotspur?
Absolutely.
There is a reason that Barca brought in both of these players, even if their careers at the Nou Camp have not panned out as planned.
Pass master Gomes remains an integral part of the Portuguese national side, and was one of La Liga’s best players during his time at Valencia.
Wide man Suarez dazzled on the wing for former club Villareal, and has shown glimpses of that at Barca, but has just failed to nail down a starting place amid such heavy competition.

Likely to happen?
As promising as this would be for Spurs, it seems fanciful to think that they would be able to secure the services of two Barcelona players in one window.
While both players seem to be out of Barca’s plans and available, it would be a sensational move for Spurs to pounce for both of them.
The more likely move would seem to be for Gomes, with whom Spurs have been linked for a while now.
On the other hand, Suarez would be the more exciting signing, and would represent a less risky investment on a loan deal.
