Newcastle expected XI v Swansea

Karl Darlow (Goalkeeper) – Darlow has been the club’s starting goalkeeper since Rob Elliott sustained an injury, but was dropped in place of young Freddie Woodman against Luton. While Elliott has returned from his injury, Darlow is expected to return in goal. Darlow for Woodman.

DeAndre Yedlin (Right-back) – Javi Manquillo was given the nod against Luton after playing at left-back for most of the season, but Yedlin is the regular and the USA international is expected to come in against Swansea. Yedlin for Manquillo.

Jamaal Lascelles (Centre-back) – Captain Fantastic for Newcastle this season, Lascelles was an injury worry for this one with a groin strain. However, Benitez has revealed that the skipper will be fit to play the Swans, and he is expected to retain his place.

Ciaran Clark (Centre-back) – The Republic of Ireland international has been a regular for the Magpies this season, but is frustratingly inconsistent. One day he is a rock, the next he looks totally out of his depth. Newcastle will be hoping for the former as he is expected to retain his place v Swansea.

Paul Dummett (Left-back) – Dummett has been a big loss for the Magpies this season after his injury on opening day v Tottenham. The Welsh international has made his way back in recent weeks and offers the most solid option on the left. Retains his place.
