Lucas Moura has agreed personal terms with Tottenham and has already signed a four-year contract with the club, according to RMC Sport.

The French broadcaster claim on their live transfer blog (Friday, 3.03pm) that Spurs have reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain winger Moura over a four-year contract.

RMC Sport report that Tottenham will match the Brazil international’s PSG salary after travelling to London for talks on Thursday.

But the two clubs have yet to reach agreement over the fee, with PSG holding out for their £21.8million valuation to be met.

RMC are confident that the transfer will be completed at the start of next week.

Moura has confirmed he is unhappy at the Parc des Princes after making only six appearances for PSG this season and losing his regular starting role.

Good move for Tottenham?

Yes, definitely. Armed with 35 Brazil caps and a fine record at PSG and Sao Paulo, Moura is an attacking player who could be a devastating weapon for Tottenham. He would add genuine pace and trickery and the capacity for the unexpected, something Spurs lack when they struggle to break teams down. Aged 25, he has his best years ahead of him and would be a stunning January signing. In another major plus, he would be available for their Champions League last-16 clash against Juventus as he has not yet played in the competition this season.

Likely to happen?

RMC are a very reliable source of French news and they would not report that Moura has signed a four-year deal with Tottenham unless they had that information from a sound source or two. This suggestions the deal is all but done bar some late negotiating over the precise terms of the fee and the structure of the payments.
