Theo Walcott is reportedly set to undergo a medical at Everton on Tuesday afternoon – and fans of various clubs across Twitter have delivered mixed verdicts.
Football London correspondent Charles Watts reported on his personal Twitter account on Tuesday morning that the forward’s medical tests at the Merseyside club are “pencilled in” for later in the day as the “last few details are ironed out between the two clubs”.

This update comes after widespread reports that Everton are in the final stages of talks with Arsenal about a transfer expected to be worth in excess of £20million.
The Merseysiders have already signed one £20million-plus striker this month, with Cenk Tosun arriving from Besiktas, and they are now set to take their January spending beyond the £40million to provide manager Sam Allardyce with a squad capable of securing a top-eight Premier League finish.
Everton have struggled to score goals this season and have barely used Sandro Ramirez, the forward signed from Malaga last summer but who has flopped badly at Goodison Park.
Walcott is now set to become yet another big-money signing of the Farhad Moshiri era as the Merseysiders take advantage of his status at Arsenal, where he has fallen out of favour under Arsene Wenger.
His imminent move has attracted comments from fans across all clubs on social media, with some saying Arsenal will be glad to see the back of him and others hailing him as a fine capture by Everton.

Surely we must be close to bringing someone in if we’re letting Theo go while keeping Alexis out of the squad!? We’ve got no players ffs! https://t.co/84SYqlWdwV
