Arsenal are willing to do anything to sign Lucas Vazquez from Real Madrid as Arsene Wenger sees him as the perfect replacement for Alexis Sanchez, according to Don Balon.

The newspaper claim that Wenger believes Vazquez would give perfect performances in accordance with the manager’s plan for the Gunners.

Don Balon report an offer would be tremendously tempting for Real Madrid as he’s hardly started under Zinedine Zidane this season.

Arsenal may have the edge in capturing Vazquez as it’s believed that he would be a key player at the club due to Wenger’s admiration of his speed and overall ability.

The same report states that the Gunners are in need of replacement for Sanchez as everything points to him joining Manchester City.

Vazquez has won several trophies during his time at Real Madrid including two Champions Leagues, two FIFA Club World Cups and even two UEFA Supercups.

Good move for Arsenal?

Yes. The winger despite making 24 appearances for Real Madrid this season, is likely to be let go given the fact he’s mostly been used as a substitute.

This means the Gunners could wrap a deal up quickly that could see them replace Sanchez with an equally as exciting talent.

Vazquez is a quality player who can excel in the Premier League under Wenger and make fans quickly forget their sadness over Sanchez’s inevitable departure.

Likely to happen?

As he’s not a regular at Real Madrid, Vazquez is probably open to a move that would see him become a key member of a top side.

However as it’s Wenger, it’s hard to have faith that they’ll be quick to stump up a decent offer as Arsenal have famously been slow to act in transfer windows.

Although maybe the impending threat of losing Sanchez and potentially Ozil may spurs Wenger into action faster this time around.
